KOTO
Terms & Conditions
The goal of KOTO is to enhance lives via education. We make it possible for anybody, wherever, to produce, distribute, and access educational content (instructors) in order to learn (students). We believe that the best method to provide our users with worthwhile educational content is through our marketplace model. To make our platform and services secure for you, us, and the community of students and instructors, we need rules. All of your actions on the KOTO Association website, our APIs, and any connected services (“Services”) are subject to these Terms.
You must accept the Instructor Terms in order to launch a course on the KOTO Association platform. In our Privacy Policy, we also go into depth about how we handle the personal information of our instructors and students.

1. Accounts
The majority of activities on our platform require an account, including buying and accessing content and submitting content for publication. You must enter accurate and complete information, including a working email address, when creating and maintaining your account. You are solely responsible for your account and everything that occurs on it, including any harm or damage done to us or anyone else as a result of unauthorized use of your account. This calls for careful password management. You are not permitted to use or transfer another person’s account.
If you contact us to request access to an account, we will not provide you such access unless you can give us the details we require to verify that you are the account’s owner. In the event of a user’s passing, their account will be closed.
Your login information for your account must remain private. You are in charge of what occurs with your account, and KOTO won’t get involved in arguments between teachers or students who shared login information. If you suspect any other security breach or become aware that someone else might be using your account without your permission, you must alert our Support Team right away. To verify that you are the true owner of your account, we can ask you for some information.
To register an account on KOTO and utilise the Services, users must be at least 18 years old.
2. Content Enrollment and Lifetime Access
Accordance with our teacher terms, when instructors publish materials on KOTO, they give KOTO permission to make the materials available to students. This indicates that we are permitted to sublicense the content to registered students. When you enrol as a student in a course or other material, whether it is free or paid content, KOTO, who is the legal licensor of record, grants you a licence to view the content through the KOTO platform and Services. You are not being sold any content; rather, it is being licensed to you. This license forbids you from reselling the content in any way (including by sharing account information with a purchaser or illegally downloading the content and sharing it on torrent sites).
In more formal language, KOTO hereby grants you (as a student) a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to access and view the content through the Services solely for your personal, non-commercial educational purposes, subject to these Terms and any conditions or restrictions applicable to the specific content or feature of our Services. All other uses are categorically forbidden. Unless we expressly permit you to do so in a written agreement penned by an authorised representative of KOTO, you may not copy, distribute, transmit, assign, sell, broadcast, rent, share, lend, modify, adapt, edit, create derivative works of, sublicense, or otherwise transfer or use any content. This also holds true for any of our APIs that you use to access content.
3. Payments, Credits, and Refunds
The conditions of the Instructor Terms and our Promotions Policy are used to set the prices for material on KOTO. Due to the pricing structures and restrictions governing the use of sales and promotions by mobile platform providers, the price of material offered on the KOTO website may occasionally differ somewhat from the price offered on our mobile or TV applications.
We occasionally host content specials and promotions during which particular content is offered at a discounted price for a predetermined period of time. When you complete your purchase of the content, the price that applies to it will be the price at that time (at checkout).
Given that certain of our specials are exclusively available to new users, any pricing provided for specific content may also vary depending on whether you are logged into your account or not.
The listed currency you see when logged in is based on the country you were in when you established your account. The price currency is determined by the nation in which you are physically located if you are not signed into your account. We do not offer consumers the option to view prices in different currencies.
We are accountable for collecting any use and sales tax, goods and services tax, or value added tax due from you if you are a student studying in a nation that imposes these taxes on consumer purchases.
4.Content and Behavior Rules
For illegal purposes, you are not permitted to access, use, or register for the Services. The applicable local or national laws or regulations of your country must be followed when using the Services and behaving in a certain way on our platform. The knowledge and observance of any laws and regulations that apply to you are exclusively your responsibility.
If you’re a student, the Services give you the ability to write reviews of content as well as ask questions of the instructors of courses or other courses you’re enrolled in. The instructor may ask you to submit material as “homework” or an exam for a particular topic. Nothing you upload or contribute should be a work of your own.
5. KOTO’s Rights to Content You Post
As a student or instructor, the materials you publish (including courses) are your own. You retain any ownership rights you may have in your courses and other content by publishing them; however, by doing so, you grant KOTO permission to reuse and disseminate them. Make sure you comprehend the material licencing conditions described in the Instructor Terms if you are an instructor.
When you publish content, comments, questions, reviews, and when you send us ideas and proposals for new features or changes, you give KOTO permission to use that content anyway we see fit, to share it with anyone, to distribute it and promote it across any platform and in any media.
You grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence (with the right to sublicense) to use, copy, reproduce, process, adapt, modify, publish, transmit, display, and distribute your content (including your name and image) in any and all media or distribution techniques by submitting or posting content on or through the platforms (existing now or later developed). This includes providing your content to other businesses, groups, or people who collaborate with KOTO to syndicate, broadcast, distribute, or publish content on other media, as well as using your content for promotional activities. To the extent allowed by applicable law. You affirm and guarantee that you own all essential rights, power, and authority to grant us permission to use any content you provide. Additionally, you consent to all such uses of your content without any payment to you.
6. Using KOTO at Your Own Risk
Due to the nature of our platform model, we are unable to verify the legality of content and do not evaluate or alter it for any potential legal issues. We don’t exert any editorial control over the content that is accessible through the platform, thus we can’t in any way vouch for its dependability, authenticity, accuracy, or honesty. If you use any information provided by a teacher, you do so at your own risk.
By using the Services, you might be exposed to material that you find disagreeable, offensive, or indecent.
To the extent permitted by relevant law, KOTO is not responsible for preventing you from accessing such content and is not liable for your enrollment in or access to any courses or other content. This holds true for any content that has to do with fitness, wellness, and health. You acknowledge the inherent risks and hazards associated with the physically demanding nature of certain sorts of content, and by accessing such content, you willingly agree to take on those risks, including the risk of disease, physical harm, disability, or death. You accept full responsibility for all decisions you make before, during using the information, and afterward.
You must be cautious about the kinds of personal information you give when interacting directly with students or instructors.
We set limits on the kinds of information instructors can request from their students, but we have no control over what students and instructors do with the data they gather from other platform users. For your safety, you shouldn’t divulge your email address or any other personal data.
We don’t recruit or hire instructors, and we’re not accountable or liable for any interactions between them and students. We disclaim all responsibility for disagreements, claims, losses, harm, or damage of any sort that might result from or be connected to the behaviour of instructors or students.
Links to other websites that we do not own or control are present when you use our Services. We have no control over the information that these third-party websites acquire about you or any other aspect of their operation. Additionally, you should read their privacy and terms of service policies.
7. KOTO’s Right
The KOTO platform and Services, including our website, any current or future applications, our APIs, databases, and any content submitted by or made available through those Services by our partners or employees (but excluding content supplied by instructors and students), are and will always be the sole property of KOTO and its licensors. Copyright, trademark, and other laws from the United States and other nations protect our platforms and services. There is no licence or right granted to you to use the KOTO name or any of its trademarks, logos, domain names, or other identifying brand characteristics. Your feedback about KOTO or the Services, including any comments or recommendations, is entirely optional, and we are free to such feedback, comments, or suggestions as we see fit and without any obligation to you.
8. Subscription Term
Additional conditions that apply to your usage of our subscription-based collections as a student (“Subscription Plans”) are covered in this section. You accept the additional conditions in this section by using a Subscription Plan. Note that the contract between KOTO and the subscribing organisation governs use of KOTO Business rather than these Terms.
To register an account on KOTO and utilise the Services, users must be at least 18 years old.
